Provides supervision of Records staff involved in the receipt, storage, proper retention and retrieval of confidential records from all offices.
High school diploma; Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, or equivalent, preferred.
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Working knowledge of industry guidelines for record retention, filing systems and retrieval. Must be knowledgeable of all record media types including, but not limited to microfilm, microfiche, imaging and storage systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas and spreadsheet links.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including; hiring, discipline, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion and termination as appropriate.
Monitor and assess priorities within the Central Records Department (maintain efficient workflow despite constantly changing priorities).
Monitor production volume and quality standards. Reviews work product and documents deficiencies, oversees correction.
Participate in the workflow creation process when new procedures are implemented in the department.
Assist Records Manager in maintaining the Central Records Operating Guide. Makes procedural change recommendations.
